Black Solid Wood Shop Counter Sideboard Drawers Cupboard

Dimensions: 230cm wide x 73cm deep x 87cm high.  4 Drawers 32.5cm wide x 62.5cm deep x 10.5cm high, middle drawer  44cm wide x 62.5cm deep x 10.5cm high.  2 Cupboards 85cm wide x 62.5cm deep x 30cm and 30cm high, Gap is 47cm wide x 66cm deep x 70cm high

Made from solid pine, this counter is very heavy!  Apparently this came from a very upmarket French Grocers.  There are two double door cupboards opening to reveal two shelves, and 5 drawers.  The middle drawer has an interesting handle.  The original cup handle was replaced in the 1950's with a combination lock cleverly hidden beneath the cup of the handle... so when you put your fingers underneath to open the drawer, you would have needed to know the sequence of leavers to activate the lock to open the drawer.  In good solid condition.  There is only a small area of detail on one foot that is missing, but this would be easily replaced and it isn't glaringly obvious.  Everything else is in good working order.  Finished with this black treatment.  Ready to use as it is.

The reverse of this unique piece is paneled in the same style, detail and finish.  This would make this perfect shop counter, reception desk, kitchen island, I also can imagine this as a sink stand for a large double sink bathroom situation or a dresser counter in a bathroom or dressing room.  Lots of options!
