I think this lovely wood could be walnut.. a blond version. It is strong and solid to the touch.. more solid than pine, but it doesn't feel like oak. You can see that this pretty table has had a life well lived.. the marks of which are embossed into the table top... nothing to the detriment of the look or feel of the table though.. in fact it makes it all the more charming... The table top has lovely corners.. unusual but very effective. This table would be ideal to use as a desk or a dining table or a kitchen table.. ready to use as it is.
