1940's Tailor's Shop Counter Sideboard Cupboards

Dimensions:  245cm wide x 40cm deep x 80cm high. The Doors open to 69cm wide and the shelf is 236cm wide x 32cm deep x 34cm and 27cm high.

A unique piece.. taken from a Tailor's shop, this would have had a dresser top attached to this base, it has two shelves that pull out that the shop keeper would have folded the shirts on and then closed up when his work was done.  There are three cupboard doors, all secured with the same key.  All the doors open onto the shelves that run the whole length of the piece.

It has a wonderful piece of history attached to the inside of the cupboard door.  It is an old map of Egypt... I am wondering if the link to the map is that the cotton that made the shirts could have originated from Egypt.  I cant see a date on the map.

This was designed to fit against the wall so would make the ideal sideboard, hallway storage or playroom storage too.  ready to use as it is.
