199cm to 375cm Extending Fruit Wood Dining Table with Turned Legs

Dimensions:  199cm long (with extension 375cm long) x 93.5cm wide x 82cm high.  Leg room 63cm high.  Distance between the legs along the long side is 175cm and with the extension out 55cm.

This is a unique and quite lovely table.  Unusually the extra leaves to this table are present.  They simply slide underneath the table top to store.  The wood we believe is a fruitwood, it has the most beautiful effect to it.  The leaves, as is usual, is made from a second wood... you can see it has a different colour, this is deliberate, the craftsman would assume that with more people sitting at the table, that the hostess would use a table cloth to dress the table, so the theory is that less expensive wood can be used as it will be covered anyway.  This would have save initial fabrication costs.

The overall condition is fabulous.  The wood to the leaves has shrunk a little, but a good renovator would easily fix this if you wanted this to be perfect.  To me, this detail adds character.

A wonderful table for use as a family and a really wonderful size to accommodate extra bodies for entertaining.
