Made for a 19th century hotel, this unit would have been either wall mounted or sitting on a counter. Made for storing the keys to the hotel rooms as well as post or telegrams for the guests.. the frontages are made from solid wood (probably walnut wood) and the structure from a simple pine. There are the original tickets still on the woodwork. In a modern environment, this historic piece would be perfect for storage in a workroom, in the family home, to organise the family nicks and knacks.. as well as phones.. perhaps at a conference.
