Double Sided Oak Apothecary Counter with 32 Drawers

A truly unique and incredible set of apothecary counter has 32 original drawers.  This piece would have been used in an apothecary shop storing the medicine they sold.  Now, some of the drawers have the original dividers, but lots are now open internally.  The piece is double sided, identical on either face, with a shelf that drawers out and pushes back in as required.  The top has a slight lip to it, to stop the medication falling from the side, I would imagine.

The carcass and the drawer fronts are made from solid oak and have the most beautiful patina.  The top and the sides have been constructed from a lighter weight wood.  Overall the condition is very good.  The wood is nourished and ready for another 100 years of use.

Ideal as use in a work room, in a shop, in the hallway to a residential or commercial space.  A piece that will be the interest and the talking point of anyone who enters.
