Gilded Decorative Napoleon III Oval Mirror

Such a pretty mirror, with really stunning plasterwork, in well worn and loved condition.  The original mirror has sadly been long lost, but the replacement is fresh and correct.  The oil gilded plasterwork is quite stunning.  You can see from the photographs that there are cracks in the decoration, but this is all being held together by the invisible wire that helps keep the form of the decoration.  The bow shape and the 3D decoration around the frame is just beautiful.  Elegant, characterful and very pretty, ideal for someone who wants loved and lived in rather than factory new.
