Napoleon III Gold Velvet Armchair with Original Footstool

Dimensions:  70cm wide x 89cm high x app 75cm deep.  Stool is 70cm wide x 90cm long x 36cm high.  Overall the chair and footstool together are 157cm long.

I absolutely love this chair, uniquely, with its original footstool and everything about it.  The shape is stunning.. it has this beautiful and simple back and rounded front to the seat, into which the footstool nestles perfectly to create a chaise longue.  When not required for putting your feet up, the footstool can be moved away to offer extra seating for another person.  The legs are solid turned wood with the original castors.. the beautiful gold velvet fabric and fringing is original too.  BUT the chair needs fully renovating.  The structure needs shoring up as the back and arms wobble, the springs need securing.. this really is a full renovation job but it will be worth every penny.  To find a chair of this age with its original footstool is like finding a needle in a haystack.  We have priced according to the condition but also its rarity.
