Reclining Morris Chair with Extendable Self Storing Footrest Gold/Mustard Velvet

Dimensions:  Seat 59cm wide x 85cm deep x 99cm high.  The footstool is an additional 58cm long so the overall length of the seat and footstool together is approximately 101.5cm long.  Seat is 42cm high

Avery beautiful example of a classic Morris Chair with unusually with an extendable footstool.  The oak frame has some pretty shaping to the arms and at the back of the chair.  This wonderful example has the mechanism that allows for the footstool to be tucked underneath the seat whilst not in use.  Very simple and easy to use.  The other lovely detail to the Morris chair is that a metal bar mechanism fixes the position of the reclining back. This chair is upholstered in the original dark gold or Dijon mustard coloured velvet.  The chair has the usual bashed and bruises to the frame but all is solid, in excellent working order and with a lovely new fabric, ready to use.
